Community based urban agriculture is by no means a new phenomenon. Frogtown Farm looks to augment the current local food production in Frogtown and the Twin Cities region and expand access to healthy, local food to residents. Locally, the Twin Cities abound with community gardens and has a growing base of urban farms. Highlighted here are a few local and national examples of community based production and educational farm and garden organizations that share a common mission of sustainable food production, local economic development, and community pride.
